    As I write this article, the inauguration is still fresh in my mind. I see that impressive sea of people lining the National Mall in Washington, DC, waiting for our new president to take the oath of office. As people waited, a feeling of hope was palpable. The crowds were inspired, not just by the man but by the energy and motivation he’d inspired in those around him. For me, watching people become involved, become committed, and become engaged in their country and in their lives, in ways they may never have been before, now THAT was inspiring. In this time when it’s so easy, as I once read, to get caught in the “quicksand of apathy and mediocrity,” people were moved to do something—to change their world.
